ESEA S54 Entry - 7W/7L

September 1, 2025 at 3:12 pm, No comments

ESEA S54 Entry Week 7 had two close battles and two close losses.

Game 1: vs Eys Esports – Ancient (7-13 Loss)

The opening pistol round was chaos, with trades across the map. With only 10 seconds left, paulioska denied the plant while Danny distracted the second player, and paulioska finished the round to give Aesthetic the start. Eys answered back in the first gun round, taking space and punishing rotations to even the score. Strong executes and conversions gave them the lead 4-2. A change of pace came from Aesthetic as Danny and bulis113 doubled up with two kills each, before bulis113 closed the round with the last frag. Despite that, Aesthetic struggled to consistently stop the T side. Round 10 finally broke through when CrZe pushed ramp for two kills, and Danny with bulis113 shut down the rest on A site for their fourth. Momentum began to swing when bulis113 caught an unnoticed mid push with a triple kill, and in the last round CrZe went huge with three kills on an A split to tie it 6-6 at halftime.

The pistol went the other way this time as Aesthetic got the plant but couldn’t hold the post-plant. Eys converted the force buy and followed it up for a 9-6 lead. Gun rounds continued to be a struggle as Aesthetic’s economy broke down, slipping to 6-10. Finally, a call to hit B worked as CrZe and Danny each grabbed two to close the gap 7-10. But as Aesthetic tried to find consistency, Eys adapted, winning the next rounds to reach match point. A last 2v2 chance slipped away, sealing the game.

Final Score: 7-13 Loss

Game 2: vs hoivakoti – Mirage (10-13 Loss)

The pistol round was unicorn-esque as no one died until the plant, but hoivakoti swept the retake. They carried that momentum to a 5-0 lead as Aesthetic searched for answers. Round 6 looked promising after paulioska and trinh created a 3v3 post-plant, but again the retake went the other way. Aesthetic finally got on the board when bulis113 found two entries onto A site for their first round. Danny followed in the next with a double of his own to make it 2-7. They added one more before halftime, thanks to Danny clutching out against the defuser in a 1v2, bringing it closer at 3-9.

The comeback began with paulioska winning a crucial 1v1 pistol clutch. That momentum carried into chained rounds, narrowing the score to 8-9 and putting Aesthetic right back in the match. But hoivakoti struck back with a sharp A execute, overwhelming the site despite a heroic 3K from Danny (which ended with him getting knifed in the smoke). From there, rounds traded back and forth until Aesthetic pulled off a force buy miracle: down 3v5, fast trades brought it back to a 2v2, and Danny with paulioska played it perfectly, faking the defuse sound to draw out kills and secure the round as it's 10-12. Unfortunately, the next mid brawl went against Aesthetic, and hoivakoti capitalized to close the match.

Final Score: 10-13 Loss
